General
Where is Asian House?
At 7, South Boulevard, Pondicherry, right next to Rock Beach in White Town.
What are your opening hours?
We are open every day from 12 pm to 1 am, and until 2 am on Saturday nights.
Can I reserve a table?
Get on the guest list on our website for express entry. Tables are first come, first served, so come early for the best spot. For a birthday or a big group, message us on WhatsApp.
How many people can Asian House hold on a busy night?
On a busy night we can hold about 100 to 150 people on the dance floor.
Is there live music and a DJ?
DJs play every night, and a live band plays most Saturdays, singing Bollywood and English songs.
What kind of music do you play?
Our DJs play to the crowd so everyone has a good time. Mostly Bollywood, Commercial and Regional.
Do you serve food?
Yes, a full kitchen: starters, Asian, Indian, tandoori and continental, alongside signature cocktails and Geist craft beer on tap.
Entry, cover & guest list
Is there an entry fee?
On select days and events there is a cover charge at the door. It is redeemable on food and drinks inside. Entry policies can vary by night.
What is a cover charge?
A cover charge is paid at the door and is fully or partly redeemable on food and drinks inside Asian House. It helps us manage the crowd and keep the night comfortable for everyone.
What is the difference between an entry charge and a cover charge?
An entry charge only gets you in. A cover charge is redeemed against your food and drinks. We charge entry only on crowded nights, to manage the crowd; otherwise it is a cover charge. Couples and women usually do not pay entry.
Why is there an entry charge on some nights?
Our space is limited. On busy nights an entry charge helps us control the crowd, keep it right for the vibe, and make sure everyone inside has a good time together.
What is the guest list?
Fill in the guest list on our website, confirm your WhatsApp number with a one-time code, and show your confirmation at the door for express entry. Your details are already with us, so there is less to go through with the door staff and you walk straight in. Guest list guests get priority over walk-ins, subject to our terms and conditions.
Do I get free entry if I am on the guest list?
We try our best to give guest list guests free entry, but we cannot promise it, because we have to control the crowd. It is decided on the night by our system and the staff at the venue. If you would like free entry, you can book your spot online and prepay the cover charge.
Can I get a refund on the cover charge or entry charge?
Once you have entered and paid at the venue, cover charges and entry charges are not refundable, and a cover charge can only be redeemed inside. If special circumstances apply, message us on WhatsApp at +91 413 796 3161 and we will review your case and process a refund if it qualifies.
Can I bring my child?
All our events are for guests aged 18 and above, so we do not encourage bringing children. On a quieter weekday night we may be able to let you in with a child, but the venue is not child-friendly at night and a child could disturb other guests, so we do not recommend it.
Can Asian House refuse entry?
Yes. We may refuse entry because of dress code, behaviour, intoxication, capacity or safety, so the night stays safe and enjoyable for everyone.
